It brings the memories of that time in front of your eyes. No body have time to ask them and listen about their childhood and young age, their struggle and success story. So the old songs are alive till today.

There is 4-4 beat conbinations is called Kaharwa. Which is in plenty in Yamaha any model. Daadra is 3-3 beats like Waltz in Yamaha. Use that. There may not be 7 beats Rupak taal, 10 beats Jhaptaal. Tempo can be set as per your comfortibility.
There are many songs on Hindustani taal. I have taalmala. I hope your book contains name of the task/theka and tempo. I have yet to purchase notation book.

I have purchased Mohd Rafi vol 2 and playing it with taal mala. I enjoy it, though initially I'm playing with low tempo. Md Rafi vol 1 is not available.
